Not Giving Up Today

Lottie's first race with the Kings was doing good so far, she trained a lot to it, and all the training gave result. She could easily keep up with her team mates, considering she had experience on sledding.
But the husky didn't realize what ties her to the other dogs was loose, until they passed near a short cliff. Lottie fell to the side, she would normally be held by the ties, but they were torn apart, and Lottie fell off the cliff. After she fell on the bottom of the cliff, it took her some minutes to stand up. She felt pain over her whole body, and realized she was bleeding.
The thoughts started to fill up her mind. What if she made her team lose with that? What if she dies there? The red husky felt the tears roll down her face. No, she couldn't die, her pups needed her, she had to live.
So Lottie started walking, not knowing where, she just knew she couldn't stay still. It was hard to keep up, she felt a terrible pain on her whole body, specially where she was bleeding, and plus the freezing cold. But Lottie didn't give up, because she knew her pups needed her. She had them in mind all the time, they saved her life there.

It was already dark when humans found her almost fainting, walking on a frozen lake, with a cut on her leg that would probably leave a scar. (moment of the pic) They took her back to the town, surprised that she survived that accident.

Luckly, the team thought Lottie couldn't be saved, so they kept running. And it didn't leave more than a scar and a horrible memory on Lottie. Everything's alright.
